Steve Young joins Sonnet roster

Steve Young teases debut album with single Back To Mine.

Here’s a bit of country sound that we are  loving at the moment:

British Singer/Songwriter, Steve Young’s music, has been described as “Country music with pop sensibilities” also as “Well crafted Pop songs with strong Country overtones”. The acoustic guitar pulls away from ‘Rock’ genre but the live show ‘Rocks’ far too much to be considered acoustic. The lyrics far too personal to be Folk but occasionally too ambiguous to be Blues.

Simply outstanding. Ray Jones, Time Out

You only need to skim the surface of Steve’s long and diverse career to realise that ‘genre’ became obsolete a long time ago. Put your pigeons back in their box, open your hearts and minds and maybe, just maybe there will be something here – just for you……

A singer/songwriter & globe trotting session guitarist. After years on the road, most notably as guitarist and co-writer for Darren Hayes, he has finally released his own blend of Acoustic Country/Pop & Blues.

A fine and outstanding voice. Jeff Smith, BBC Radio 2

Recent performances at the Rising Stars of UK Country, The Union Chapel London, Islington Assembly Rooms, London C2C Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe, Rhythms Of The World and local events have enthused his ever growing fan base. His music has been aired on regional BBC Radio as well as Radio 4 & BBC 6 Music. His debut album, Troubadour, funded by fans via a Pledge Music Campaign, is due in May 2016.

Beautiful and touching. Darren Hayes
