Singer-songwriter Nigel Thomas releases stunning debut album, Travelling Man

Nigel Thomas - Travelling Man front coverSinger-songwriter Nigel Thomas is out to carve a solo career for himself, having previously fronted London-based indie band The Foxes.

This beautiful collection of songs sees the songwriter showing off his talents as a storyteller over a mixture of sweet and melancholy guitars and pianos. There are clear elements of Britpop in his sound that are reminiscent of Oasis and Blur, whilst the vocals take clear influence from Paul McCartney. Overall, it’s a moving sonic journey.

Pushing boundaries visually as well as sonically, Nigel has already released music videos for three tracks from the album, all of which are particularly unusual. ‘Fever’ sees Nigel playing a housebound psycho, whilst ‘Que Sera’ sees the artist incorporating 360° virtual reality technology. His latest video for ‘5476 miles’ meanwhile recorded entirely in hand-made stop-motion.
